Microsoft has quietly released the first service pack for Office 2013 and you can find the download links at the bottom of this post. The update comes in both x86 and x64 flavors and range in size from 643 or 774 MB depending on your install option.

This is the first major update to the Office platform since it has been released and should be a welcomed update for those who use the platform. With SP1 now released, we will be curious to see if more IT shops move to the platform as many large corporations have adopted the unofficial policy of  ‘wait until SP1’ before deployment.

Like all service packs before it, the package contains a roll-up of all the previously released updates. Along with all of the previous updates, SP1 includes update to improve security, performance and stability.
